Overview

Our app aims to keep you interested and provide a relaxing tour of the zoo at all times by putting everything at your fingertips with just one tap.

No more longer waits at food counters, no more navigation difficulties, and free merchandise as a prize for all questions completed.

Problem Statement

We intend to develop an app that will assist customers in resolving all of the current problems by including features such as zoo maps, an online queue system, and a more immersive and engaging platform, all of which will result in increased time spent at a zoo and a more enjoyable, informative visit.

Users and Audience

According to the data collected, our intended audience is between the ages of 12 and 45, with the goal of including everyone equally in the zoo experience. Our objective is to make their experience engaging, simple, and pleasurable. We discovered that the majority of users had trouble standing in line and navigating.

Roles and Responsibilities

Because this was a collaborative project, we completed all of the work in a group, from research to building. We had five members in our group. My responsibilities as a group member included conducting user interviews, performing research, and building wireframes.

Process

We wanted to get a better understanding of the answers we were looking for and expand on. We came at the product roadmap as a result of this. It really helped us in focusing on the areas that required our attention and the potential solutions that might benefit both the users and the business.

User Research --> Empathies --> Brainstorming --> Design Solution --> Ideation --> Prototyping

User Research

Conducted some primary and secondary user research

Generating Ideas

1. We all presented ideas for our team to choose from, and then we had a meeting to decide the top 3-4 ideas.
2. We found that a lot of our ideas overlapped, which made it easier for us to collaborate.
3. Maps, gamification, queuing systems, and education were among the top choices.
4. During the ideation stage, we went ahead and created the user flow.

Our Problem Statement

We intend to develop an app that will assist customers in resolving all of the current problems by including features such as zoo maps, an online queue system, and a more immersive and engaging platform, all of which will result in increased time spent at a zoo and a more enjoyable, informative visit.

Design Solutions

1. To minimize the user's waiting time, we need to develop a pre-ordering system.

2. To provide a more instructive and educational experience, we established a screen for animals, where you can get detailed information on each species by selecting it. The Take Me There button at the bottom of the page will take you to a map that will show you how to go to the animal.

3. We created a queueing system that allows users to digitally queue/book a seat for an event without having to get there and stand in the sun or in snowstorms.

4. We designed a treasure hunt within the app to make the map experience more enjoyable. Every time the user visits an animal, they may earn rewards such as money and a compass, as well as discounts on food and shopping.

User Flow

We needed a clear idea of the thread to work on the complete design solution process. This provided us with a clear picture of how the prototypes and displays would flow as the user navigated the app.

Wireframes

This process resulted in the majority of the ideas for the app being generated in the direction of creating a fun, simple, and diversified profile, displaying each frame's layout. It simplified the app's mockup stage.

Mockups

This was the final stage, and it allowed us analyze the app's look and feel by displaying the colors, icons, graphics, and page layouts for each frame. It also offered us the finest concept for analyzing the app's flow and sorting the content.

Conclusion

Adding educational and entertaining elements to the zoo experience. We've come together to ensure that everyone is equally engaged and leaves with a collection of memories in the form of stories. Because our software is available at all times, it enables anybody to access whatever information they require. In terms of business, we're also assisting the zoo in increasing income by encouraging our customers to check out the items via the treasure hunt function.
